The Masonic Hall known locally as The Grange is not only used regularly as a meeting place for Freemasons, but also several Community Groups use the facility on a regular basis and of course it may be hired for a wide range of uses by the general public (if you wish to find out more or indeed utilise the building just click on its picture to the right).
There are other social events that members, partners, family and friends enjoy at the hall, for example, Bingo Evenings, Quiz Nights, occasional Horse Racing, and there are of course festive and themed evenings.
Derby sits astride both the River Derwent and the A52, about four miles West of junction 25 on the M1. The Grange is located at Littleover, to the Southwest of the city centre. If travelling Southwest from the city centre, along Burton Road (A5250), the Grange is situated on the left down a private drive almost opposite the Half Moon pub, a few hundred yards Southwest from the outer ring road (the A5111, which links the A52 in East with the A38 in the West) just beyond South Avenue. If travelling Northeasterly up Burton Road, the private drive is immediately on the right just past the car park of the Co-Operative supermarket.

Derby has two railway stations. The Midland Station and Peartree.
The ‘main’ Midland station is an interchange point between the Midland Main Line from London St. Pancras to Leeds and beyond, and long-distance services on the Cross-Country route from Aberdeen through Birmingham New Street to Penzance or Bournemouth (the zero milepost on the latter route is at the South end of platform 1). Full timetabling, prices and tickets can be obtained from National Rail Enquiries. The Midland station has to some extent now been incorporated into the new Pride Park development since the opening of the rear entrance (which is devoid of a ticket office); so the following information relates to the ‘front’ entrance outside of which there is a Taxi rank immediately to the left of the station forecourt.
There are numerous ways available to reach Derby Masonic Hall, which is about two and a half miles away with this suggested route: Turn right out of the station opposite Railway Cars (a taxi office – 01332 347999) along Railway Terrace, bearing left through the traffic lights into Siddals Road (B6000) and eventually Railway Approach. At the set of traffic lights, turn left at the Cock Pit roundabout into Traffic Street (the inner ring road, A601). Continue on the ring road over two roundabouts, until at the end of Lara Croft Way (yes of Tomb Raider fame), take the second exit South down Burton Road (A5250). Continue along Burton Road for about one and a half miles until the intersection of the outer ring road (Manor Road/Warwick Avenue A5111). Following a potentially protracted wait at the traffic lights, pass straight over the intersection and after about two hundred yards turn right just after South Avenue down the private drive opposite the Half Moon pub to the Masonic Hall.
Peartree station is a small suburban halt, that was one of the original stations of the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway, Derby to Birmingham main line services rarely stop here and the station is little used by passengers. Full timetabling, prices and tickets can be obtained from National Rail Enquiries. At a little over one and a half miles from the Masonic Hall, the platforms are down a pair of ramps from the north pavement of Osmaston Park Road, the outer ring road (A5111). On leaving Peartree, turn right, proceed along the ring road (it becomes Kenilworth Avenue) until reaching Burton Road (A5250). At the lights turn left and after about two hundred yards turn left just after South Avenue down the private drive opposite the Half Moon pub to the Masonic Hall.
