Derwent Lodge has been meeting in the market town of Wirksworth since 1861. It’s home since 1959 has been the historic Moot Hall in Chapel Lane. The building is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster and is where the annual ‘Barmote Court’ still sits, this being the only Lead Mining Court still in existence in the UK. We are a small and friendly Lodge that generates its own unique fraternal warmth, which more than compensates for the rather cool areas in some parts of the temple.
